Description:
As one legend says "Holy Cross of sobriety" was set in the place of burnt tavern where local loggers guzzled hard-earned money. Woodcutters’ wives burned the tavern and installed the cross on its place as warning from drunkenness. According to another version, the Cross was set during the time of widespread active movement for sobriety, which was initiated by the church and a society "Prosvita". At every village the Brotherhoods of sobriety were founded, the missions with the participation of priesthood took their place and the memorial cross with an appropriate inscription was installed.
