"Cedar Palace" - former residence of the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky

Metropolitan residence was built of cedar trees by Metropolitan Sylvester Sembratovych in the late XIX century. During the First World War it was completely destroyed.
Later, Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Andrey Sheptytsky rebuilt "Cedar Palace”. At the beginning of the XX century the residence became a famous resort, every summer over 350 people were recovering here. Well-known doctors worked in Pidliutyi, the treatment was available not only for priests. Water from hydrogen sulphide mineral sources was used for treatment of rheumatism and other illnesses.
In the end of 70's of XX century the residence was burned and later rebuilt by Kosiv masters.
